Pre-School to Primary
A pink leotard with short sleeves or a tank style is required. A pink full skirt is to be worn over the leotard and is to be purchased at our Academy ($20.00). The tights required are pink ballet tights (Mondor 310 #E-6 ballerina pink) or ballet socks (purchased at the dance stores only). The ballet shoes required are Bloch #SO 205.
Hair:
There will be a “bun” demonstration on the first lesson. At each lesson the dancers are to have their hair in a bun, without bangs. Please purchase a hair net with an elastic edge and bobby pins. The dancers may wear any type of hair adornment in their bun.
Ballet Sweaters :
The dance stores have knitted crossover sweaters. When purchasing these sweaters please keep in mind that they should fit snug. (Our academy also has a pattern to knit one).
Grades 1~5
Leotard:
For grades 1 and 2 a solid coloured classical style leotard in a light colour is required. Grade 3, 4, and 5 may wear black or brighter colours.
Tights:
Capezio ballet pink tights, Mondor #310 U-1 classical pink, or Body Wrappers theatrical pink..
Ballet Shoes :
Grades 1 to 4, pink leather ballet shoes Bloch #SO 205 with an elastic over the instep and an elastic drawstring. (no split-sole) Grade 5 dancers require the same ballet shoe but they must now have ribbons on their shoes to prepare them for pointe shoes. This is compulsory and is necessary for summer school.
Hair:
In a tight secure bun without bangs.
Character Skirts:
A black full circle skirt with 3 rows of trim is required by the Royal Academy of Dance. We have made arrangements through Dancecraft to have these skirts made to measure for each student. I will arrange a day and time during summer school for all dancers requiring a skirt to be measured.
Character Shoes:
